I am finally learning to walk again - it has not been easy, but you will get there. I got to think and read a lot the past few months. Although, there was no closure for me, no reason, no contact - at least I got finality. It is better than not knowing. It is better than nothing. It is the not knowing that drives one crazy.
I am starting to get the ball rolling, both in my personal life as well as the new venture. The new venture takes up a lot of my time. I think the last blog post took me a week to re-write. My EB, can be a stickler to try and understand things. So I spent a lot of time educating her on the production process so that she could see the humour in what a home-brewer would typically experience. This is going to be one helluva chapter for the book (yes, I have not discarded that).
My GB, well she is on-board in the new venture. I needed someone that can look after all the water chemistry and the yeast side of things.
I have another friend who is very interested in our venture. He happens to be a chemist as well as a qualified chef. So things are looking good.
I am not qualified to give you advice on the ex front - but push it to a point where you know and can get on with your life, one way or another. The past seven months of not knowing have been pure hell for me.
Take care M, and I will be around.
Cheers,
ZAB
On the plus side there will be less drunks on the underground (had it have been last year I would have been one of them)
Sorry to hear about the divorce notice Zab, i'm glad you have other things going on in your life, it's important I feel.
I was devastated when I got divorced (even though it was 100% my fault) I started brooding and then I started drinking and then I drank more to try to stop from brooding. Guess what? It didn't work, surprise surprise
Be positive and (in a nice way)show your to-be ex what she has lost

Yes, the 'not knowing' is awful. My ex-husband and I dithered for months and it was just prolonged agony. The writing was on the wall. Once it was final, things got much easier fairly quickly. Sounds like you have a great outlook, Zab :-)
P.S. Sao, I refuse to believe it was 100 % your fault, but then I'm biased, and happy to be :-)
