Lovely pics , V.

I have had a tummy bug today. Maybe should have re washed my pre washed veggies with dip last night. Was pretty miserable. Still not great. Hubby took kids to beach and now dinner. Got me some soup. I hope it is just a 24 hour thing.

Sorry to hear that phoebe. I love to dip those little pre-washed carrots in hummus and have wondered about that before and often rinse the again, but not always. Stomach bugs are rough. I hope you feel better soon...be careful of dehydration.

Good morning my beautiful Octsobers. ♥

Oh, not fun phoebe. Sorry love. Is there a pharmacy close by? I'm sure there would be. You can get some gentle over the counter medication to help with the tummy pain. And my tip is drinking plain hot water. That often helps.
Sending love and prayers that is goes away very quickly. Not fair getting sick on your vacation.

Beautiful video Briar.

I have a day at home ~ a million things to do, but I don't have to walk anywhere. Yey! All in all "I fine".

Huge hugs.

Thanks guys.

Have had some soup and feeling improved. I have an appetite right now, but will go easy. At least I am not tempted to drink.

My daughter says the ocean was too cold, so she just waded a bit. Son got in and must have rolled in the surf. I think he had a suit filled with sand he kindly left in our master bath when he enjoyed a jacuzzi bath after they got home. He is a funny kid. He was having so much fun in that big tub, I could not get mad about the sand.

Hi gang. I love "I fine." Kids are so funny. When DD was a baby she went to day care. All the staff were women and the kids were taught to call them "Miss Barbara" etc so DD used to greet my husband "hello Miss Daddy!" He loved that, LOL. She comes home tomorrow night, then leaves again on Sunday. So odd to have her be a visitor.

Still trying to wake up. Gosh I'm tired. Going to be more than a two-coffee day, that's for sure.

How are you love?

On my phone and I can't ever get the chat to work on here. I should set up my wife's laptop and try it sometime. I'm good otherwise. Feeling strong. I've found a really good coffee you might like. It's whole bean organic coffee from Peru. Costco sells a 2lb bag for under 12 bucks. I find if I grind my own organic beans fresh I don't get the Jim-jams (google it. It's a real thing!). That Keurig stuff is no good.

Oh, I didn't know that...I will put it on my shopping list as soon as I can.

EDIT: Can't find one for under $33 here...it might have to wait a bit.

I love cold brewed coffee. 1 1/2 cups of coffee grounds to a 2 quart pitcher. Fill with water and stir. Refrigerate for 12 hours. Strain and enjoy. This is pretty strong, you may want to dilute it a bit when done. It's very smooth, not bitter or acidic at all.

I missed your invitation to chat, V. Was watching a show with the kids then turned in when they did. A bit restless last night but I think I fine this morning. Fine enough anyway. Thunderstorms predicted for most of the day.

Enjoying this dry time on the deck with my coffee, listening to the birds. Lots of chickadees hoping around the pine trees. They are so cute. My daughter and I love watching the birds. Simple pleasures.

Only one awake. Oh! Big bright red Cardinal has joined me. My favorite bird.

BD, my friend does cold brew, but she makes it sound so incredibly complicated!! I might actually try your method. Do you have it iced, or can you also warm it up?

I love watching the birds too. I see so many beautiful birds when I'm walking.
I talk to them as well.

These are my favourites; they are called lorikeets.

What a beauty, V!! We don't see any like that here! I am known to chip, chip at our cardinals, lol. They have such a distinct short peeping that sounds like that, when at the feeder. I need a new feeder, actually. Mine was a little window type, and the suction cups finally failed and it cracked.
