24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 55
In for 24 more. 9:30 am on Sunday.
I had a close call yesterday afternoon. At one point I had let my AV take control and had decided I was going to drink, even planned out the excuses I would give to go and buy some wine So grateful that I put my tools to work, slowed down and got back on track before acting on any thoughts. It finally passed and I went on to have a nice evening. Took a walk and bike ride with my son, ate nachos and ice cream, downloaded some music and watched a movie.
Have a great day everyone.

I didn't have to use my rescue inhaler at all yesterday; that is major, major progress. I still have chest congestion but it is much more manageable.
Still very, very fatigued; this was brutal.
24 more, please. I need it.
I'm feeling a little complacent in my program. Am noticing some addiction transfer types of behavior lately (shopping a lot & eating way too much sugar - the other ways I get "drunk"). With that have come some very small voices saying "you're cured." I'm NOT going to drink - I'm just coming clean with where my brain is right now.
Love you all. Thanks to every single one of you here.

You are so wise and perceptive to recognize your warning signs.
Stick close, Hearts; we've got your back.
