We, we certainly do have surfers here - at the beach right next door :-)

Higgins Beach Surf Photo by Surf Camp Maine - Surf Photos - Magicseaweed.com

Above is one. More if you google images "Higgins Beach Maine"

(((Gilmer))), I agree with everyone - no reset. What a rotten thing to have happen!

Good morning Marchers It's a lovely day though a sombre one for Aussies, today is exactly 100 years since the ANZACs (Australians and New Zealanders) landed at Gallipoli in Turkey in WWI.

Gilmer I am with the others, that thimble in no ways counts for a reset. I had a weird thing happen at an opening last week, I was talking with a friend and accidentally picked up her glass instead of mine, the smell of the alcohol just about knocked me out! It was rather difficult to keep my poise, put it down and pick up mine.

Sass those pix from Higgins Beach are awesome!

Chuff I hope you post soon.

Have a good day peeps.

Hi Wolfie, slumming it with the Marcher eh? now I'm in for a slap down!!

I think surfers will surf wherever there is a wave regardless of the danger of freezing their bits off. I've seen them mid winter. I think their brains freeze!!!

((((VC)))))

Marcher I think I mentioned before that we saw the ANZAC memorial from the deck of our cruise ship a few years ago and were extremely moved.

Gilmer, sounds more like red wine vinegar to me hun, what an ambush! Def no reason for a reset ( except of priests!!)

Happy weekend everyone, winter is on its way back here with a vengeance sleety snowy rain and freezing temps for the next 2 weeks, just when I've turned the heating off and put all my winter clothes away. Can I borrow your cot Gilmer?

Another day in my family. Absolutely awful. I want to take little V and run as far away as possible...I really don't want to be here anymore. I keep remembering a funny commercial from years ago for Cousins Soap..."Hawaii looks nice".

Leaving on a jet plane in my mind....

I understand but I'd rather Melbourne over Hawaii... or even Tahiti V

Please do hang in there - you have a lot of support in the various threads.

Sass, lucky you! I adore the coast of Maine.

No surfing for us! The boys have the local fishing report on the TV right now and they said there are hundreds of sharks off our coast right now. We're lucky to live on a protected area of the water so we can swim and ski right in our back yard - no sharks or gators but we occasionally get visits from manatees and rays.

V, wish there was more I could for you right now. Holding your hand from the other side of the world xoxo

V, imagine us as a "trust" group surrounding you and ready to catch you if you fall.

Good morning Marchers It's chilly here today -- in a wussy Aussie way -- I am bunkered down for a quiet grey day at home. I have some work to do on our forum, a little reading to do for an online wholefood course I am doing, then I am going to knit.

V I hope things are going smoothly today, I know that feeling of wanting to run.

Have a good day peeps.

I was in Melbourne when a random guy I met at a club told me I was an angry "stomper."

And yes, I'm American.

(((((VC))))). Try to spend some time focussing on yourself sweetheart and giving yourself the love and respect. You deserve. Make sure you get some 'me' time to emote as you need. PM or Skype anytime if I can do anything love. X

An angry stomper BM??? Will someone explain!

Marcher how do you manage to have so much energy! You exhaust me just reading your posts sometimes

I have had a sore neck the last few days, gradually getting worse. Now it is all I am aware of constantly waking or sleeping. Very annoying. I may have to take my strong painkillers which I hate, but nothing else seems to be working. We had a lovely meal out last night for hubby's brthday, went to a local Indian restaurant which has a Koi carp pond in the middle of it, some of the fish are getting quite big! We had son daughter, daughters partner and gson all there and seemed to laugh all the way through the evening. At one point, son asked me if I ever missed drinking and I replied no, and I certainly don't miss the hangovers! I regaled them with a few occasions that hubby had to almost carry me home after nights out, not funny at the time, but amusing anecdotes now. Later I said to hubby, how it was funny to think that daughters partner and gson will never know that side of me, see me tipsy or drunk. I admitted that not wanting gson to ever see me drunk was a huge factor in wanting to quit, and he said that is was as good a reason as I needed.
I can finally respect myself, and know that as and when gson is embarrassed to be seen with me it will be because of my personality, not because I am falling down drunk!!

No one would ever be embarrassed to be seen with you toots love.

I guess you've tried anti-inflammatory gel and a heat pack for your neck?
Just checking. I hope the pain subsides soon.

I know you are there for me, and I really thank you...I guess I've not felt like talking much this past week. I'm trying.

As for the angry stomper comment ~ I'm stumped as well! LOL.

Hope you had a nice day Marcher, and that it is not as cold there as it is here. We have had an absolute winter blast. Freezing.

Love to all of you, and thank you once again for helping me with my ongoing family stuff. ♥

lovely Seattle-like weather here this morning. Grey and overcast, with a steady, light rain... we need the rain badly here so a lot of gratitude for it, and prayers it continues throughout the day.
