Hi Everyone. Went to a family Christmas party yesterday...and yes my family drinks...ALOT.
I love them all dearly...but yeah...people get crazy and LOUD when they drink.
AND they repeat themselves ALOT.
To top it off...had another crazy drinking dream last night.
But it's done...yesterday is over. I did not drink. And I won't drink today.
Committing to another 24 hours. Today marks 80 consecutive sober days.
Thank you SR!

Hello friends! 6:43PM EST and I'm signing up for another sober 24!
Today marks 21 days! Been urge-surfing a crazy amount of of cravings and desires ever since I came on vacay in the Florida Keys. It's more of a challenge for me here than at home for some reason. BUT...... I'm staying clean.
I'll enjoy this special week more, and remember it more fully, and get to really RELAX, now that I'm sober.
I had some non-alcoholic O'Doul's "beer" last night to help me with this "I'm on vacation, I deserve a treat" mentality that won't go away. Since I genuinely enjoy the flavor of beer, it helped. I know a lot of people and AA frown upon such beverages as they can trigger relapse and contain trace amounts of alcohol, but I am staying sober and I am NOT letting it lead towards relapse. Actually I really enjoyed being able to have a couple beers without getting plastered or wanting to drink everything in sight!!!
CONGRATS to all milestoners and hope everyone had/is having an amazing day

When other thoughts fail me, I think of birds. Birds are so strange & so beautiful – they remind me to appreciate simple existence.
