24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 26
5:54am CST here. I will not drink today. It feels great not having a hangover.....
Last night, before we left my parents, my Dad-who has been sober for 32 years- asked me "are you sober?".... And, I could say "Yes" without lying..... He told me he was proud of me....
Living an active alcoholic life sure sucks... I've heard it referred to as "the high cost of low living."
I am so grateful to be alive, healthy and SOBER!

Ugh. I have a pie hangover. Now I remember why I don't drink.... or eat flour and sugar.
Anyway. 7:27 from Clearwateter, FL, I want another 24.
Hope everyone in the states had a lovely holiday and everyone out of states had a great day.

Congratulations, Sickofthiscrap!
Dane, I hope today is a better day today. Spirituality is hard one for me too. Thank you to everyone who commented yesterday. There was some really good advice and positive thoughts.
Aly, great to see you!
Dee, hope the storms stay away now.
Bobbi, I hope you do get some rain on Monday. You need it!
This morning, I took Finn for a long walk to burn off some of yesterday's food and help him burn off some of his energy. I must commit to exercising more; it really does make me feel better. I think that's going to be my goal for this holiday season; 30 minutes or more of exercise daily.
Now off to get ready to shop a little bit today. Nothing crazy; my daughter and I just hit a few stores trying to spend the least amount of money for the highest return. We'll have lunch out and usually have fun. We come home if it gets too overwhelming. By the time we head out, most of the people who have been shopping since midnight are home.
Take care!
