Class of March 2013 part 33
But we won't let Dee drive -- or me for that matter. Can you imagine making a left turn on an intersection Dee, with the steering wheel and traffic all on the wrong side?
Toots I am so glad you and Molly will soon be reunited!
Missed you around here, Toots! Sorry to hear about those frustrations. It's so much more difficult to deal with things when you're exhausted and overseas travel makes you just that - especially with the lack of sleep. I'm sure you enjoyed your reunion with Molly and I'm sure she was thrilled to see her mama
Um - nice car...can't wait for our road trip

Good morning Marchers.
Trach, I was up at all hours too. It comes and goes. I think eating too many carbs close to bedtime combined with aggravation was the culprit last night. I read a thing recently that explained the blood sugar/wake up thing.
Good news is I won't do that tonight. Short memory being what it is, I'm sure I will do it again some day soon.

I'm starting to think type 2 diabetes is in my future. Dad has it. I've been fighting weight gain for years.
You don't know how bad I'm fighting asking, "Does life have to suck so bad?" lately.
It's OK, friends. I'm just venting a bit. Still, rub my back a little and tell me it'll be OK.

Weight gain isn't inevitable, trach. It's definitely easier to put on than take off as we age. I lost 60-70ish pounds seven years ago. I've managed to keep it off, but had to completely change the way I deal with food.
Life is a bit sucky right now. I get like this every Autumn. Do not do well with holidays. I don't have any family, so it's just a time of torture for me to get through. I need to find a distraction this year, can't really make do with brandy and Southern Comfort over the holidays.

Last couple years I didn't even put up a tree. Didn't get or send any cards, and spent Thanksgiving in Vegas. (Which was awesome, and I may do that again.) Between my food issues and alcohol issues and no family - it's a frikkin landmine from October through February. I was thinking of volunteering at a food bank to help me with my gratitude at this time of year. I know I am okay, I just need to build a life again without drinking.
I will be here, my friend. I will be here with no bells on.

And, Bimini...you build a life of not drinking by not drinking.
I have trees. I just don't like to do it. It makes me sad. . . but maybe I'll put them up this year. It could be a new tradition. They are pretty.

Not to crash your party, you two, but I'm sure I'll be on plenty during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving (my most nightmarish time of year--until last year I totally melted down every year. Thanks were definitely not on the menu!).
((((TRACH))))
You're not giving up on the Cow thread just because some callous person offered to serve turtle soup, are you?
