Good things to hear MW.

Kind words from you, to the group, as well!

Hi undies,

A quick check-in. I'm a bit down today but at least no urge to drink. Lots of things to do - still have stuff to do from move -- it's "only" 2 months later! And now I'm behind on cleaning.

I know - I just need to do one thing at a time.

Hope you're all well!

Sorry you're feeling down, Sass. Hope you get a good night's sleep and tomorrow is better.

Checking in with the Undies... Little going on here of real note. Just been busy. The new Anti-depressants have given me a burst of energy. Sometimes a little too much, I get a little nervous and chatty from time to time it seems. But that is better than laying around sleeping.

Hope you all have a great Thursday and the rest of Wed as well... wherever you may be!

BF, didn't see a post yesterday. Is all okay with car/uncle/shoulder/womp, etc?

Sass, spot on. One thing at a time. Start with a good coffee and put on some music real loud and boogie onto the next item. Seriously, try it.

Glee, gotts any AA mtg nuggets of wisdom? I'm AA jonesin here! (said in my best Tyrone Shoelaces impression)

Sass, feel free to use this vid as your motivational morning jam. I did suffer from this affliction as a kid. This song is motivation to me, not stereotyping in any way, shape or form.

So Gilmer, how went the Dr visit with your father?

Hey, have a good day, Undies.

Carlos

Carlos, I'm just over here.

I've got that album over there in the rack. What's always been somewhat a secret is the musicians that played it. George Harrison, Billy Preston, to name a couple. Kick-butt music behind the foolishness. Wikipedia has the full musical credits.

Haha, thanks trach...never thought of the artists. It is kick butt sound, the guitar rocks. Barry White and Chris Rock redid this for the movie Space Jams with MJ and Bugs Bunny at some point later.

I see this cartoon is from 75' and a bit foolish at times, but I love the overriding message...Go for your dreams....and...like I told Glee, I have a Recovery Jones these days!!

Thanks again,

Carlos

I had the album, too! Got it in 8th grade!

Carlos, thanks for asking about my dad. He never made the appointment--I guess the dizziness was just a one-day thing, so I've dodged the bullet for now.

But I've seen pictures, Drake! You look young!

I default to thinking I'm 23! That age is fixed in my mind! Obviously, I'm MUCH BETTER OFF than I was at 23, but for some reason that's my default thinking!

'76 - freshman in college. Granted, I went a year early but, there's dirt younger than me.

I do not look (or act) 57 almost 58. Except around my eyes, they show the wear of alcoholism and lots of anxiety.

I'm not that much younger--I started college in 1977. It must have been 1973 when Los Cochinos actually came out.

I'm trying to gen up excitement about qualifying for the Senior Discount at IHOP this November, but it's not really happening.

I have received one senior discount so far, a 20% admission at Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward a couple of years ago. It was 55+

One time when I was only about 50 some checker at the supermarket asked me if I qualified for a senior discount! I was crushed!

Hi all just a quick check in, the doctors have finally got the medications right for my mum so she isn't in pain any more and is catching up on some much needed sleep

Glee I completly agree, I need to get some serious distance away from my Dad which is why I've redoubled the efforts to find myself a place and move out. I feel I will be able to continue with my recovery much more effectively away from him.

Hope all are well out there today, thanks for the support!
