One Year and Under Club Part 39
ML. See your doc about that rash. This is not medical advice but I'm betting your mind will be put at ease if you do. And don't drink, please. Maybe you could ask your parents not to come? This will sure let them know you're serious. Tell them you have a creepy rash and don't want to go out.

Thanks for all the advice. I have spoken with my parents and told them that i will NOT be drinking when they are here and thank god they have agreed to having a 'cultural' holiday and will visit some local cities and make the most of the tapas. (We usually sit in bars for 24 hours a day.) I already feel so much better by this as next week was the only obstacle really inbetween me and christmas so i'm hoping if i get past the next 10 days then it will really spur me on. Who knows, we might be seeing my first sober birthday? The prospect makes me excited.
Way to go, ML! I'm impressed that you told your parents that you're not planning on drinking when they visit. I understand how hard that is to say, to share by implication that you have a problem with alcohol. Good job! While I think it's great that you don't want to drink on your birthday, just get through today. You only have to take it one day at a time.

ML good decision to let your parents know.
I had a long day womping. I also didn't make the best decisions and was kinda goofing off and not probably being the best example. Work was so crazy last week I think I was feeling a little burnt out. I really need to be back on my A game tomorrow to make up for it.
Carlos congrats on getting your license back.
Toots glad to hear you made it safely back across.

Whomp whomp or womp womp however we spell it is BoozeFrees term for work!! It's been pick up on by the Undies as it is such a great way of saying something is going to need to be done that isn't particularly fun!

Sass me and Molly reacquainted yesterday, she came with mom to the train station to meet me! She was very happy to see me, but I don't think she really remembered me until later in the day... Mum was just after telling me that she would seem much quieter to me when Molly came through to the kitchen and started having a maddie, running round the house and skating the corners of the laminate floor wagging like a daftie at me, it was like she suddenly thought ' hey... Now I remember you! ' I took her with me for a run today and she was good as gold. I can't wait to have her back home. Just a couple of more days here before I go back.

Toots, how great that must have been when the light bulb went off in Molly's brain! Glad you got out for a run to clear your wits. Hopefully you are keeping a wary but respectful distance from your dad.
Petals, BoozeFree always used to say, "Off to work. Womp, womp!" "Womp, womp" is that standard noise that follows a real downer event. Dee posted a youtube of a foghorn sound. (Recently BFree got a promotion, so work is not such an absolute downer anymore).
So we've got a new verb in our urban dictionary: "to womp"="to work."
