welcome Gentle Soul

Like I said earlier I'll migrate this Class of September to the Daily Support forum soon.

A new Class of October 2014 thread will take your place here, catering for all those who are going to quit in October

Closing in on the end of day 1. I'm so grateful to have had the time to zone out in here today.

I'm not looking forward to the 'jumping out of my skin' days, but I do remember that when I let them pass, I was relieved to find that the anxiety can dissipate and I was safe and sober on the other side. Keep breathing!!

Hi - welcome to all the people who joined in the past couple days.

Alynn. Day 30!

outdoors. Happy birthday! It's my birthday too.

Today I've got a job cleaning and painting an apartment for rental...a friend got it for me. I'll mostly be his assistant, because I'm not exactly well versed in the construction field. Nice of him to let me in on the job though - just one of those ways that I'm keeping myself afloat. Not sure what I'm going to do for my birthday or when, but I'll think of something.

Hi & welcome GentleSoul, Plenny, TheBigC, NewFighter, WharfRat, Leezer and Ellay! Outdoors, welcome and happy birthday!

Congrats on 30 days Allyn!

BlissWithin, looks like you are hitting 30 days? Congrats!

I need a spreadsheet to keep track of everyone, I have no idea how Dee remembers so much

A number of us have tried and relapsed before, but we don't have to again. You guys are stuck with me in Sept 2014.

Nothing big going on here, day 17. Kind of an odd, prime, non-milestone number, but I feel good so I'll take it. Have a great sober day everyone!

Thanks guys!

Happy birthday Avice! I hope things are getting better and you have a fantastic day!!!

Just dropped the kiddo off at school. 3 hrs of mommy time (aka errands, grocery shopping and paying bills).

We got this month gang. Praying for all of us.

I can do all things through he who strengthens me

Starting day 11! I'm happy to be sober... But not quite impressed as I have been here several times. I'm getting impatient because my proving time is after 30-45 days... I can't wait to get over that hurdle and reach that milestone. I'm still dealing with some self loathing and anxiety but looking forward to better days!

Day 5 starts now.

Irritated at the moment because my internet connection has been spotty for the last couple of days. I had a long-ish post about yesterday typed up and *poof* it disappeared along with my net connection. Ugh! Gotta remember that this is something that is out of my control. So I am typing this on my phone.

Anyways, important thing is I didn't drink yesterday. Congrats to everyone for making it to October. Hope to see this group stick together for the long-term. I see that last year's September club is up to 32 parts. That is very inspiring!

Good morning!
I'm surprised I slept so well. I remember in the past that the first 4 nights were miserable. But I was out like a light last night.

Dinner went smoothly... Sort of. The meal was delicious but there was some distance between my husband and I. But he mentioned cutting down his alcohol which is cause for celebration (ice cream!) because it'll cut way down on the drama in our house.

I hope everyone's October 1 is going great, I am happy to be here in such good company.

Plenny

Welcome gentle soul and outdoors....

What's up to the rest of the gang?....Nice work everyone. And congrats on graduating...

uh ...day 37.....all is well, mostly...

1st grade report from our son's teacher....math, spelling, reading...."great".

Behavior not-so-grate....whining and complaining when getting to class first thing, which of course disrupts the teacher's routine....I don't know what else to do? This has been going on since he could talk?

It's like, we must have messed up....we focus on academics, but even more, we are constantly teaching him values and giving lectures.

When we were in school, we were afraid of our teachers. Instead he feels the need to monopolize their time...

It doesn't help that the 9-10 year age range is the new 6-7 range.

Good ole' parent-hood in the 21st century.
