Rah, stay with us. Keep trying. I tried for years, and now it finally seems to be clicking.

I think I have spent every cent and more that I saved from not buying beer and wine on pampering myself.

This definitely is getting easier for me as the days pass, but the old AV still makes its presence known. Yesterday I was thinking of what I should do to celebrate day 57 on October 11, as the longest I have been sober in about 25 years is 56 days. One of the first things that popped into my head was a bottle of champagne! I am still deciding what to do for myself, but it won't include alcohol.

Have a good, safe, sober day everyone.
I haven't rewarded myself yet scooterboo. Aside from eating whatever the heck I want. I think I need something good around the 3 month mark. I'm thinking a massage and a new hair do.

Congratulations Apple and Determined on 6weeks!

Feeling terrible today, hurt elbow doing weights yesterday, then went to a meeting which I didn't feel a part of then started vomiting all night- Ive got the sickness bug that my eldest had the other night, she is six and coped with it pretty well and is back in school today, Im a 33year old male and I feel like Im dying!

It reminds me a lot how hangovers used to feel............................

I am not sure, but I believe their minimum monthly payments are more than their monthly salary. The three people I know who declared bankruptcy were all professionals with high incomes who were living way beyond their means. They all got to keep their homes and their vehicles. One actually somehow bought a new sports car a short time before declaring bankruptcy, and he was able to keep the car. When I think of the three, none of whom knew each other, the things they had in common were going out to dinner to expensive restaurants almost every night; refinancing their homes to add built-in pools, a gym, a three-car garage; and having very expensive new vehicles.

That sounds like an excellent plan.

For my three month celebration I am going to visit a delicatessen and treat myself to lobster, crab and lots of other very posh foods.

Hi class of August!! Great job on the milestones and the accomplishments!

My apologies for being terrible about posting. I've had house guests, a new puppy , kids sports, and on top of that---a major respiratory illness. Posting just hasn't happened---but I do read everything at every moment I get, and am with each and every one of you in spirit and support.

Best to all of you today, and may you find peace and happiness in all of your endeavors.

Much love,

MV

Good night folks. It was exactly a week ago when I really wanted a drink. Just woke up feeling blah that day. Glad I don't feel like that anymore

1StepUp - Hope you feel better very soon!

sthlondonab - enjoy the rest of your trip - never thought of traveling to Slovenia but now it is on my dream travel list along with Vienna and London - maybe for a 1 year sobriety trip? Reread your last posts about how wonderful it is to travel sober if that AV starts acting up!

Apple and Determined - Well done on 6 weeks!

Choobie - love the affirmation - keep up the great work! Your positive posts are contagious!

Everyone on Team August - Keep on keepin' on. It is worth it to stay sober and you are worth it. Each of you help me - so great to see so many people posting. Can't keep up with responses right now but I do read and appreciate every post!

Been so busy with work...blessed with work. I have an attitude of gratitude today. Hugs to all of you!

Congrats Apple and Determnd!
1step, feel better soon.
I had a nice afternoon. Spent some time with my grandson. Played outside, played video games, ate junk food. All the good stuff 5 year olds like to do. And sometimes, gramdma's too! Really feel blessed today, through all my issues, trials.
Catch up with team A tomorrow.
