Instead of looking forward to my first glass of wine after work, I am looking forward to my son's first soccer game with his school team. Instead of spending the evening drinking as much as I can, my son and I will get as much done on his science experiment as we can. Instead of dreading the work day, I am looking forward to being productive. So many things change in sobriety, my perspective has been a big one for me.

Good morning, friends. Little to no sleep last night but at least I'm sober. Another parenting moment yesterday with my daughter this time. Oh these teen & pre-teen years! Again, I never could've handled it while drinking. I think the universe is trying to tell me something & I'm hearing it loud & clear!

Today it'll be a parenting test w/our psychologically damaged, scared of her own shadow cat. Gotta get her to the vet which will be a challenge to put it mildly. Kids are going to help - together we can do it. Wish us luck.

Here's to another 24! Thanks, everyone, for being here. This is fast-becoming my new fave place to be on SR!
