24 Hour Club Sign up Sheet Part 52, All Are Welcome!
Hi Everyone. If you are new, We are really happy you are here!
What we do here is sign up and commit to staying clean and sober for the next
24 hours. We just post our local time and commit.
Please post only once daily on this thread as this is mainly a sign up sheet to make
up our final roster. Thanks

Good Friday
I don't put this out there to often but today is a special day for Christians
around the world and the reason I have hope. I ask that you respect my
choice to acknowledge this very special day.

It is the anniversary of the day that Christians believe Jesus Christ went to the cross
and died for the sins of all mankind.
The Bible tells us that we are seperated from God because of our sin nature for
God is so Holy and Just.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.
But that God loves us so much and does not want us to be seperated and that it
brings him great sorrow so he sent his one and only Son Jesus from heaven to earth
born to a virgin to carry out a plan of redemption.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus claimed to be the Son Of God.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me.
Jesus was beaten severely and died a tortuous death on the cross for that claim ,
for us.
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his
wounds we are healed.
He paid the penalty of our sin past, present and future which was Eternal
Seperation from God. He was the only one who
could for he was without sin.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
He performed the most beautiful act of love and he could have backed out at
anytime, he could have said at the very last minute, No I really am not the Son
of God but he didn't. He was obedient to carrying out God The Father's plan for
redemption.
He rose again 3 days later on what is now Celebrated as Easter Sunday.
That is what I call love!
The Bible tells us that now we are clean in the sight of God and are no longer
seperated from him by our sin .That when we die we will also rise to Eternal Life.
A Free Gift Of Grace
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift
of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.
Unable to be earned by works but a gift of grace that is taken by faith by confessing
our sin, acknowledging the work Christ did on the cross and inviting the Lord
Jesus into our hearts.
My life and heart were so empty and I could never fill that hole inside, not with alcohol,
drugs, men or stuff. It was when I personally invited the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart
and received God's forgiveness that the emptiness inside was filled and my life began
to transform.
Matthew 11:28
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I
will give you rest.
I was carrying heavy burdens, I was desperate and lost.
I am not religious, I invited Jesus into my heart because I know I am sinner, I am someone
who knows I can never measure up to the holiness of God and was in need of a Savior.
Jesus Christ is that Savior. Today I have a personal relationship with him.
