Class Of March 2014 Part 9
Good morning Marchers. Not in my usual good mood today. Didn't sleep well last night. Feeling cranky and tired and anti-social. Forced myself to log into SR and post this message because I know that's what's good for me. I know in the past this kind of mood would send me to the bottle to drink my mood away (only to cause the mood to get even worse for days). Today I choose to not drink and be proud of that choice. Have a blessed day all. -Cranky-Chris

CaliChris- no need to apologize for crankiness - remember - we are all on emotional rollercoasters here.
I just hope that the pattern continues to be that some of us are "up" while the others are "down" and vice versa - we all need the strength of those who are up to give us hope, and the vulnerability of those who are down to keep us humble.

Chris,
Crankiness happens. We used to drink to mask our emotions... Both good and bad. Now we have to live life without that mask. Now it's mostly good, but occasionally bad. I for one will take that bargain!
Toddle,
I'm glad you are seeing a Dr! He or she will help you get well. We're rooting for you!

Glad you called the doctor toddle.
Enfin, beetroot cake? Would you share the recipe? Sounds interesting
I'm baking some hake with mushrooms and soy ginger sauce. Boiled some artichokes. Going to have a feast!
Since I quit drinking I have:
1)Slept regularly and like a baby
2)Felt more even keeled
3)Had my wits about me to confront difficulties and challenges
4)Cleaned and tidied my house regularly
5)Read almost an entire book
6)Been aware of what foods I'm eating (even if they're not the best choices!!)
7)Not gone to work hung over
8)Acted on plans and promises
9)Completed projects I wa too scared to complete

Chris, you've been here for all of us and I for one really appreciate it. Feel well soon buddy.
Toddle, hope the doc visit goes well. Maybe take the opportunity to ask for a counselling refferal? You deserve to be happy.
Enfin and Ilya, just Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom!!!
I hate naming people individually, cos I'll forget somebody. If this is you, you're great and I think your great!! Which I do
