Class of March 2013 part 26
CONGRATULATIONS ON 2 WEEKS LIFE. I hope you enjoyed the Kevin Bridges show.
Marcher, if only I could have been sat there for real! I would need to bring hubby though. Lordie does that man need a break. He is working so hard and under the stress of a huge responsibility and we haven't had a 'lie in the sun and do bugger all' holiday for 18 months. It may not sound much, but he routinely works 80 hour weeks, often into the weekends. He is looking really tired just now, with no chance of a break any time soon.
Budd, its official man, you are Disgusting with a capital D!!! I would have shown more class, 'designing' poop out of swirled chocolate icing, but to use the real stuff? Yeiew! That would have put me off chocolate for life! (probably no bad thing come to think of it!!)

Well, the comedy night out was good..........and I got myself to Mass this afternoon so managed to clear the record with the man upstairs bout me attending a comedy night on Good Friday.
Oh Toots, you would have loved Kevin Bridges, he was fab..............also as half the crowd were either Scottish or frm Northern Ireland, there was an awful lot of heckling and banter going on but he was ready for it, didn't falter once....right back at ya, every time. Sheer skill, loved it loved it loved it.
Saw another guy beforehand, Daniel Townes . He's an Ozzie comedian who gave up professional swimming and blew hundreds of thousands of $'s, dedicating the past 18 years of his life to smoking pot...........eventually culminating in a mental breakdown..........while continuing to travel the world doing stand-up! It was a very satirical look at him and his past. Hi speech was almost pressured, he was churning out so many jokes, the majority funny, yet there was something behind that facade of jokes that struck me as sad, hollow, empty........i dunno, maybe that was just the addict in me that saw below the surface..............then, as I thought about it later on the tram home, I thought maybe that's in fact his intention.......to portray two sides and leave the audience questioning??!!
Whoaaaaa, what's going on Plant, too deep.......too deep, I must be over tired
Bedtime for me. Nite nite Marchers from 'life' down unda!

Good morning Marchers I'm making us work for four hours this morning but then the rest of the weekend is free! My easter chocolates turned out all glossy and well patterned, I'm very pleased with them.
Life you are rocking this time, stay close over the weekend and your break, won't you. You too Babs.
Stay strong and stay sober peeps.

You guys...my March 2014 thread is kinda dying. I think there are only three of us who haven't relapsed and it's really quiet in there.
I need a home. Gee, that sounds so sad. But seriously, the group is really splintering it seems like. No one is really posting.
I dont' know what I expect you guys to do about it, but I'm a little lost puppy.

Unfortunately that happens in a lot of classes. We are very lucky to have the group we do have. Some will make it back, some wont. Many do relapse. Keep hanging here with us, and keep with the 2014 group. It may start picking up again.
I think it takes a lot of support for most of us to learn to stay sober. We can use all the support we can get. This group has been tremendously active for the past year. It has slowed down some but not as quickly as many.
Bimini, you are, of course welcome to stick with us! I think there are benefits in being on more than one thread, especially during the first months. Dee and Budd both have good suggestions.

Why, yes, I have that key around here somewhere.
I'm feeling better. I typed enough stuff to get out some of the icky. I'm still going to hang with you guys for a while, though. I needz youse.
Thank you so much.

Bimini I promise I am not stalking you! Lol, stick around as much as you want sweetie, anything to keep you sober! Can't promise sane though....
Life, we went to see Frankie Boyle last year, no where near as funny as he thinks he is, but the reason I mention it was he got the most random heckle I have ever heard which managed to even shut his smug gob up for a few seconds. The drunk guy in front of us stood up and yelled ' Oy Frankie, wanna buy a fridge?' Earlier the first comedian had asked if there was anyone from Ireland in the audience the same bloke cheered and waved. The comedian said ' what part of Ireland are you from?' Heckler ' Dundee mate' Fud!!
