Class Of March 2012 If you've quit alcohol/drugs in the month of March 2012, please feel free to come and share support with others doing the same :) welcome! :D D |
Welcome Marchers of 2012! It was one blink of an eye that I was were you are today. One day at a time is not a cliche. It is the way that most of us survived in the early days of recovery and when life gets tough. One day at a time is the best way to take it. Believe in yourself. You are not alone. You are worth it. Remember these things and start on this wonderful journey. Its a wild ride! Life. I wish you all peace in your hearts. Dave Class of March 2011 |
Welcome March peeps! Best of luck to you on your journey. Remember, you can do this! :) |
Good luck everyone who is starts in march :c011: |
Welcome 2012 Marchers! I was a March Baby in 2010, and I'm still going strong. You'll find lots of support from others in this thread. Try to stay in touch with one another as you begin and continue this journey together. You're not alone. None of us are. |
best of luck to this class! you CAN do this. you can take your life back one day at a time. |
Had almost 60 days behind me before two slips, including one last night during a time of great stress and frustration. Oh well, at least I'm still here and still trying. Back on the horse and you can add me to the list of March babies. :) |
welcome back desertsong :) D |
Good luck to all the March 2012 group. I joined March 2011 group and those guys sure helped me stay on the straight and narrow. |
Im January quitter. But I would like to join March class too. |
i though i should bump this since it at the bottom of the forum :Meditate: |
Thanks DA! D |
Today is absolute crap. My mind is so depressed, but body is full of energy. Had a massive urge today. Too much stress and emotions at the same time. What a mess. |
HF maybe you could wear yourself out. I've been there a lot in my first two months and I would just exercise sometimes. even a long brisk walk. anything to move that energy and get your mind "unstuck" |
Hello! I quit drinking March 1st 2012 and so far it's been great! A few times the addict mind has started to creep in but I just say to myself "I will not drink today". It helps. It's amazing, too, how much time I suddenly have to enjoy the things around me - to take it all in and just smile! I'm looking forwarding to talking with other March quitters! Best of luck to you all! |
newleaves2012 Thank you. I went for a long walk yesterday. At least 3 hours and it all started after that. :( Got very depressed and low. Maybe walk was too long? |
My (final!) quit date is 28/2/12 so was a bit late for class of Feb. Feeling fab physically so far but I'm staying close to here to help the mental side... |
Godspeed, Marchers! It seems you are off to a great start, and will likely grow throughout the month. Us 2011 Marchers have a special place at the table for ya, and we're here to cheer you on, and help in any way we can. Funny, thing, I started last March, then fell on and off for the next 5 months, but still consider myself a Marcher. We have a saying, "Once a Marcher, always a Marcher". March on, folks! |
I joined the November group back when i first started but I think it took me that long to start to learn just how much in the grips of this addiction I am. Still working through and now have a full 24 hours under me. latley my binges have gotten shorter and shorter, and I want them to stop as of NOW!! So count me in under the class of March, as I put my last drink down on Saturday, my life is a wreak right now but alcohol isn't making it better only worse. Welcome everyone I look forward to figuring this out with all of you. INH |
welcome to all you new guys :) D |
