i did my dishwashing and it didn't take too long... and my friend paid me something too! I wasn't expecting anything cause I thought I was just volunteering, but now have some money for kitty litter! A clean cat box is a good thing!

I love those eggs and would love them for my fridge. I'd never cook them, but having playful eggs IS a good thing. I have no whines today but am preparing for my October 1 diet so I will save some whine room for then, I'll probably whine up a storm when Canadian Thanksgiving comes...and there is nothing more pathetic than a Thanksgiving Whiner

Indeed Ann, agreed! Not too many whines today.. Thanks all for the prayers for Mother, friends. Not a whole lot has changed with her, but...I have. I picked up the 1,000 pound phone and had a long talk with sponsor. Acceptance is truly the answer to all of my problems today! Losing the fear..getting back the "trust" that "all is as it should!" Thanks again dear Whiner's friends! :Who's next?

Was so tired earlier that I took a long nap. Then woke up feeling so drowsy I had to drink two cups of coffee to wake up... now I'm really wired!!!!!

My whine? A dog who barked very late last night. Not whining at the dog, he's a great dog and a good watchdog but the fact he was barking that late tells me some critter, man or beast, must have been roaming where they ought not to be roaming. Most probably beast, it's that time of year where the animals are moving around more, loading up on food for colder days ahead. That's my waking up whine for the day

Whine clarification. It was not MY dog it (was my neighbours), I'm a cat lover and don't want that misunderstood. I mean I don't want to be thought of as someone who can change, who can broaden my horizons, nosirrreeeebob! Mr. K and King Bubba both, K, only King Bubba is working this weekend and will whine when it is no longer double-time. Nuther whine from Queeny. I bought some gourds yesterday to make an autumn centrepiece and I cannot find a cornucopia anywhere. Cornucopia? Where are you when I need you? Where shall I put gourds? Woe is me.

Leapin' Lizards!!!! ![]() Last night I was getting all tucked in & comfy under the sheets, when mr cmc suddenly sat up because something had just jumped on top of his head!!!! eek!!! It turned out to be a cute little brown spotted baby gecko....about 1 1/2 inches long that had landed on his forehead!!! Mr cmc's an expert lizard catcher....mind you...lizard catching is a fine art....especially without squishing it to death. The problem was that the poor little reptile was so frightened it ran across the lined up pillows to my side of the bed. It was up to me to catch it...and that I did, at the first try. I had in inside my closed fist. (cmc takes a bow) The only problem was that I had just put on some Burt's Bee's hand salve along with the cotton gloves that go over the salve; which was Stage one of a much needed manicure. I ran to the front door to set him free & I had to shake him off, because that teensy weensy scared to death lizard baby....got stuck to my hand!! So I had to send him flying into the bushes. (I hope he's okay.) Sheesh. I hope that never happens again. I'm surprised I was able to fall asleep afterwards... just thinking of that thing crawling over us in the night makes me want to.... ![]() oh...btw ...the gloves are still soaking in the sink.

Internet"help lines" that make you wait forever and then you find out that to just shut if off, unplug the damn thing, will make it behave... at least for a while... glad the baby lizard wasn't in my bed, I'd have flipped out! I put out mouse food in the bsmt. If the mouse/mice can get past the bsmt cat I'd say they deserve the food. And it keeps them out of the house when they're living in a nice warm bsmt.... and bsmt cat is fed so has no "need" to chase mice... By offering the mice a warm bsmt they don't invade the upstairs... so I don't mind them living in the bsmt... I used to have mice for pets...
