When it was on the air, I liked it, but I can't say that I saw ALL of the episodes (then again, that was during a period where I wasn't focused on much of anything other than my own gratification......but this winter, we got the DVD, boxed set and I was GLUED to the TV. It has so many layers and is so provocative...Who is God, anyway? Isn't he/she/it everywhere working through people? Just becasue an experience might not have an immediate impact, like a drop of water on a pond, the ripples just keep spreading....What is faith and why is it crucial....When does self-will collide with acceptance?

I was talking with my therapist about how much I had gotten from it and why and he said I should check out 6 Feet Under. I did and was not impressed. In fact, at our next session, I suggested that we change seats

I dunno...there are a few books and movies that have hit me at just the right time (speaking of God...) and this was definitely one of them.

As for canceling the show...it's my fault. Whenever I like ANYTHING, *poof*, it's discontinued!!!

Whew, what a relief, I was thinking it was my fault, lol.

And I do love it, if I wasn't getting in trouble, I wouldn't be having fun.

This morning I got into my car to leave for work and went to light a cigarette and all of a sudden XANAX popped into my head, I was thinking I sure could use some Xanax right now. I immediately called my sponsor. That was the first time in 11 mths sobriety that it came to mind. This disease is so damn sly, just waiting for the right moment to say remember me!!!! There was no urge to use, just a fleeting thought, very very uncomfortable feeling.

Lis, do you know how many times, I sit here and just crack up laughing and my kids are wondering if I am losing it. I actually cry from laughing so hard at some of this stuff. Especially when we were at the fish piece stage. We all fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. I am so grateful to all of you for bringing laughter back into my life.

Yikes, that's scary about the Xanax. Every so often a drink for me comes flitting through too, but then I think it through and realize it just aint gonna happen...no good gonna come out of it, now or ever. Yesterday, I was speaking with my sponsor about something that was irking me and I said "Dang (used another word, though), can't I just nurse this resentment for awhile, instead of questioning my part?" That's what AA'll do for you...ruin all those pity parties ....
