Hey Bee! Did you find your kids???

What was the funniest costume you made for Halloween??? I made my youngest A Q-tip. I took a shower cap, put it over a basketball, then glued cotton Balls all over it. I did the same with slippers. Then I wrapped her in posterboard....I never considered that she couldn't sit in the car when we drove her around...she kinda had to lean. It was really funny....I get these "brilliant ideas", but they never quite come out like my visions!

I know where mine are tonight; one at a carnival and one home with bf. Am finally relaxing some. Anxiety is going away. I'm making something to eat then will go to bed. Goodnight all.

Hi HOS, I always made their costumes, sewed them. Lets see, we had my son the wrestler Ultimate Warrier, Beige tights and danskin leotard, stuffed him with pillow stuffing for muscles in arms and upper legs. Daughter A cocoa Puffs cereal box, designed a cardboard box to look like cereal box, brown leggings.
I am pretty good with costume makeup. So most of costumes came complete with full face costume makeup.

My best costume was for my brother in law, he went to a halloween party as Mr. T, I had him lay on newspaper and covered his face, legs arms & chest with brown makeup, put a mohawk wig on him, layered him with about 75 pieces of costume jewelry. He looked amazing.
I also did myself up as a lion from Cats. I sewed a sweatshirt with all different shades of brown cut yarn. I must say I looked awesome.

yeah, my daughter just came home, she showered and is on her way out. I don't know where my son is though.

I wish ck's bf would leave so I could relax in my own home and go to sleep. Ck will not be as thorough as I am at 'locking up' and lights will be left on all night cause they don't think to turn lights off at night... I hope he leaves soon... And she's got work in the morning too, and I'm not taking her there, she's riding her bike so had better get going early, instead of her usual last-minute nerve-racking morning ritual...

Good morning Bee! and everyone else that's on this thread. Your all special to me. I am cleaning my house at the moment, then I will tend to animals. sponsee coming then, so I will make lunch and we will work on a step. All good for my soul. Its calm after the storm but another chick is a bit weak. I have him in the house on a hot water bottle......not sure if little leg is broke. I will see how he does after some rest. All the rest are thriving. I think the mother may have panicked in the storm.
Rowan I am glad to hear you met your sponsor and had a good old cry at home group. I think if we don't get those tears out we just get angry. I hope you are able to feel those feeling today again, whatever they are. Maybe your feeling better, maybe your feeling worse....but remember they are ONLY feelings and will not kill you. You like melody I believe. I have been reading her daily reflections a long time now....My nephew gave me one of her books as a gift this year "Stop been mean to yourself"...
Delighted you slept Stone......hope you feel half normal. Try and keep a routine going.

I'm grateful to be able to hop in my car now and go to the shops without worrying about meeting Guards (police)

I had a good sleep last night too, tho I got to bed later than I planned, at least I could sleep. Going to try and get some things done around the house today. Only have one thing I have to do and that's an appt for dk later on.

Ck was supposed to ride her bike to work this morning but got up late (from being up too late last night) and wants a ride. So I guess I'll give her one last ride today...

Good morning people I'm glad you slept Stone you must be relieved. Oh Nelco I hope the baby chick is okay it breaks my heart to see little animals in pain and unable to express it to us. I slept terrible I miss my dogs they are visiting my mom and dad at the cottage for the weekend. Those damn canines keep me twisted into impossible positions for sleep and last night I was too comfortable, I reckon.

I still am very depressed and kind of irritable but I know that this won't last. Daughter and I are going to a gf's cottage for the weekend, leaving tonight. I won't be around at all until possibly Monday. I am at work though so I'll still be here until about suppertime. I haven't packed a thing yet not a damn thing. The weather is going to suck (rain) and the mosquitos are terrible this year but I will be with friends and our daughters so that is some solace. If this prozac doesn't kick in soon, ladies and germs, I am going to be in deep sh!t.

Hope you have a nice weekend Ro and hope the prozac kicks in too. Starting to freak out about all my bills, I might go to jeweler and sell a diamond tennis bracelet I have. Maybe they will buy it and it will cover my bills for the next month or two until I find a job. Sent out 4 resumes today. Who knows. I'm okay though. I just realized I lost my Turn it over stone Going to meeting, be back later.

Scardey that chick is alive but not in great shape. Still on hot water bottle in kitchen.....oh dear!! my family are so used to me helping some sick animal at this stage they probably won't even bat an eyelid when they see this one.

Sponsee gone. Had a lovely evening. There is a very small church near where I live. I asked her would she like to go there. She said she would, so we walked down there in the sunshine and said the 3rd step prayer together. It felt good.

Rowan I live in a cottage and try to keep the cottage look. We moved from the city some years ago. I love the old quaint look.I grow all the cottage plants and that also explains the ducks,chickens etc. to you. I would love to hear about the cottage you are going too.

How do you know the weather will suck?? maybe it will change. Maybe the mosquitoes will leave you alone and maybe your Prozac will kick in......................maybe you will actually have a good time..... Try and think positive Rowan.
Can you share about the nice things you all get up to when you get away on these weekends?? I would love to hear. Spending that quality time with your daughter is a gift.

Barb glad you are starting to feel better. Good sign that This too shall pass, huh. I got to keep saying that to myself.

I called the jeweler I know he told me he is going on vacation till end of month and he doesn't think he can do anything about bracelet but maybe when he comes back he'll let his diamond connection take a look. (Throwing up my hands right now) I am really in a good mood with all this going on, doing the footwork. Sent in 4 resumes this morning, went to a meeting. The woman who called me last week messed up came back in today and shared about her going out. Lot of shares about upcoming weekend and things going on, lots of fear about picking up. I really think that if my motives are good and I remember my last drunk/use there is no way I will pick up. That's just my thoughts.

I still feel pretty good and the heat has been better today too, I was in the Twilight Zone mentally with the lack of sleep and the heat was killing me over the last few days...so it is good to feel OK again and be able to do stuff.
Been shopping and done a lot of housework that I had let slide, it is good to have had a more productive day.
Step "review" is going well too.
