Wow... I just logged on here and that's nice news. Congrats VC, I'm glad that something nice has happened for you. This damn thing isn't giving up without a fight it seems. All I know is that I got a headache last Saturday and since then I feel almost like I am going through the first week of withdrawal. (I look at my cats and wonder how they are able to sleep whenever they like???) My family are taking me in a few days to the Clare region, which I really like. There are wineries everywhere, you can almost imagine you are in the Mediterranean lol, the scenery is very pretty, but I hate going in the cellars, the smell of the fermenting wine makes me gag. I once drank too much wine a couple of times and made myself so sick I don't think I could ever touch it again. |

Good morning class. Yes congrats on your new relationship VC. I know what you mean about that wine cellar smell. I remember it from when I was a kid and one of my friends fathers made Italian wine. Although I drank wine on occasion I never really liked it but when there was nothing else to drink I wouldn't turn it down. Today is packing day for me then I am off at 3AM tomorrow morning so I guess I will see you all again in just over a week. Take care all.

Yes we'll miss you Fub but enjoy your holiday, it'll be interesting to see what the next challenge will be, I think you've been smart to have a daily plan to follow. Richard I'm glad to see you about posting and talking about what you're going through, I think it all helps, take care the next few days. (I had another headache a few hours ago but think I actually feel a bit better now, so maybe it's passing off.) |

Have a great holiday Fub ! We'll miss you. Trying to straighten up here (yet again). Day 3 today. Going to an AA meeting today. I've been to this particular one before and can really relate to some of the people who go there. I was hitting it very hard there for a while. Its amazing how quickly the booze takes total control once you get going again on it. Seems to get worse every time too. VC,.. it's great you have a hearthrob now to share your life with. Take care everybody, and good luck with your struggles. |

Google 'Clare Valley' JS. There's lots of little towns like Mintaro, Auburn, Sevenhill, Watervale, and they have a lot of heritage. Lots of busy people from the city go up there weekends for a break, it's very peaceful and tranquil. I hope it's a nice day when we go and I can take my camera. It's a half hour drive from here. I went to a few AA meetings Richard and though I didn't stick with them (I had to go into the city, AA doesn't seem to be as high profile out here) I think they did start helping me get longer stretches sober, and find some motivation. I think I've got rotten DNA too VC, it isn't fair is it? I'd like to think I can beat the little beggars though. Think I'm feeling a bit better today, got some decent sleep, am spending some time with my nephew later. Seeyas tomorrow. |
