CARON Renaissance

My daughter was just admitted to CR for post residential treatment. She will be there for 3 mo. minimum. I am hopeful!

They are one of the best for teens and young adults, they have a good solid program. Best wishes to both you and her. While she is there, know she is safe and continue to work on you.

Caron is wonderful!! I went for a 5 l/2 day intensive program that was a huge boost to my sobriety when I had around eight years. Simply amazing.

At 1 am last night, I received a call from CARON saying my daughter was being taken to a mental health unit because she threatened self harm. She has done this at home as a way of acting out, but this facility is not like our nice, suburban ER. She will be held for 72 hours. It will be scary. At her last treatment center (Caron is her third in less than 4 months), she was able to convince her psych doc to give her Xanax for anxiety, her drug of choice for abuse. It set her back. As soon as I think things are good, they are bad. The rollercoaster continues. My next FA meeting is on Tuesday and I wish it were now.

Hello AudreyRose,

There is a bunny nest underneath an old rose in my garden right now. There are two babies that we have now spotted just inches from the entrance. Their ears are tiny and they are smaller than the palm of my hand.

We have 2 dogs so this is not an ideal nesting spot. My RAH is beside himself worrying about our dogs, the hawk, the cat, the rain.... He wants to save these two. But the Rose is not such a bad spot because it is thorny!

Does your daughter have a dual diagnosis? I did not realize this was her third placement. Hugs. You must be so frustrated and worn out.
