Decision is the spark that ignites action. Until a decision is made, nothing happens. So so very true. Without the decision, given with the help of HP, we don't stay clean, just dry. That decision enables us to grow and become mature, fun-loving, and able to deal with real life. Kasia |

So true, Kasia! I learned that putting the drugs down was really only a first step. Then the real journey starts - recovery. I take actions every day to clean up the wreckage, reach out to other alcoholics and addicts and stay connected to my HP. Faith without works is dead. Recovery without action is...? (not very fun and leads right back to using, IMO) Thanks for the post!

There is a television evangelist named Joel Osteen, although he is a million times better than any evangelist and he really isnt one, its just a broadcast of his church service. I've been there, it's in houston at the old Compaq Center, that's how large his congregation is and he is amazing. I watched a sermon he gave on addiction and it was tremendous. www.joelosteen.com I high recommend you try to catch one of his sermons whenever you can, I guarantee you'll be hooked. Genesis 8:14 I believe it is god says to abraham "Is there anything too powerful for the lord?" The answer of course is no, through him you can do anything, overcome any obstacle and climb peaks higher than you'd ever believe possible. I recently started reading the bible and so far I've finished genesis and I am on exodus. It's really a page-turner, it's fascinating.
