its funny how quick we are to forget out humanness - and even quicker to see things as disease or sobriety.

everyone is either sick or well.

thats what this post reminds me off.

lucky, do what you will my friend. many people fought for freedom or years.

and dont be terrified that you are going to have a slip. if your not going to slip, then your not going to slip...you dig?

its funny how when i sit back and read this i see so much. it teaches you that its easy to forget where you came from sometimes. forgetting that once you were in the exact same shoes. forgetting that the big book speacks more than just sobriety, theres also unity and understanding others as well as ourselves. i may be wrong but its how i feel. freedom is a funny thing you have the freedom to be sober or to use, to care or not to care...but in the end stay strong, stay clean, and learn from everyone. everyone had a good point in this thread. ive learned from you all here

Yes,this is a support forum.People go through all kinds of emotions and feelings in recovery.Good and bad.If Vic feels bad,I am here for him.I will suppport him and anyone else at this site.Including Andygirl and her low tolerance for BS.Are we not all here for the same reason?Im sure if someone was to browse through all my posts they could probably find times when I was also negative. However,I would never tell someone they just go ahead and leave.Whether its here at SR or at a meeting.People say and do all kinds of things when they are down.I dont care what someone says or does.I can assure you I hear plenty of what I may consider BS at meetings.People talking in circles,or perhaps turning it into a speaker meeting when there are 40 other people in the room who would like to share.I remember listening to a girl share about her pet rat for 20 minutes one time.I have heard it all.Funny thing is,later on I realize its not BS.They are there for a reason. They are in a meeting of Narcotics Anonymous instead of out using. As long as they dont pick up that day,I think everything else is irrelevent.Just my opinion.I hope you both stick around.
