| Rational Recovery
Hey folks. I've been in the program for quite some time and I've heard of Rational Recovery but never really read much about it until yesterday. I took the online crash course and I gotta tell......I like it. It just makes a whole lot more sense to me. I've always had a problem with the disease model of addiction and Rational Recovery explained to me how our brains work. I'm looking into maybe starting some Rational Recovery meetings in my area. Any ideas on how to begin this?

What up windy? You know I'm right down the skreet from ya, so if you did start a meeting I'd check it out........might make me feel like I'm cheating on NA though. Let me know if/when you get this up an running. later, -Blake

to my knowledge there is no dictionary that has a definition for the word disease in reference to addiction/THE DISEASE CONCEPT/i can relate/identify to your thoughts for i am a thinker allso,,about your question on RR,,i suggest you try RR web sights,,they can probrably help you,, huggs bruce |

I don't know that much about RR but I am always interested in learning all aspects of recovery. I am a dedicated member of AA but I don't think getting educated about recovery is cheating! the more we know the better our chances of staying clean and sober!!

Never mind......I just read on a RR website that there are no meetings. Wow! I'm just gonna order some RR books and check them out. It sounds really interesting. Hey Blake -- nice strawberries this year !! |
