Lrcna Xxiii Was Awsome!!!!!!!
 

I went to the Louisiana regional convention this past weekend and it ROCKED!!!!!! It was my first convention so I didn't know what to expect. I was kinda thinking that it was gonna be all in one room and there were gonna be like 2 or 3 meetings per day....wrong. It was at the Riverside Hilton in NOLA and I love New Orleans. We had a room that was free and our parking was free (thanks to a family member of mine being a compulive gambler and got it all comped through Harah's) I stayed with 3 of my really good friends and my sponsor. They had 4 different workshops going on at all times and speaker meetings at night and marathon meetings 24 hours a day. We heard some awsome speakers Laurie S. from arkansas and Rhonda C. and Martin C. from baltimore. The people that did the workshops, can't remember everyone's names, were awsome also. There were dances on friday and saturday night and I got to bust a move like I've been wanting to do for a while. My sponsor who is an older dude wasn't thrilled with the nocturnal migration habbits of young people at their first NA convention, but it was still funny to **** with him when he was trying to sleep.
I can't wait for the next convention. I had a blast last weekend and I didn't have to do any dope to have fun. If any of yall haven't been to a convention, go. It's a booster shot to your recovery.

Hi Blake, Glad to hear that you had a great time. I went to some when i lived in NJ they are somthing to see.

It was awsome, there was something like 2300 years clean in attendance and it was by far the largest convention in LA history....I'm still fired up about it!!!!!
