| We can only carry the message!!!!!!!
I got a phone call this morning that my brother took 10- 15 muscle relaxers, and the girl didn't know what to do, he told her not to call 911, so she called me. He's in Harrisburg, PA, I'm in Upstate NY, I told her he didn't have a choice, to call 911. I felt bad because I yelled at her, she had been called by her sister. I hung up and my wife called 911 in Harrisburg and got the ball going. Yesterday he called me up and asked if I could help him, we talked for awhile, crying on and on. I asked him if he had tried the Meeting list I sent him, not follow through. We talked about how the disease and some about recovery and how recovery is not about control. I had to go due to my household surrounded by kids. I called back last night to see how things were going, It was a party going on there. So I said I'll talk to you tommorrow. Well, its here and I got a phone call I've been expecting after one of our talks about getting clean. I'm sad, mad, and hurt right now that I can't stuff this down his throat and it will belong to him afterwards, so I pray to Godd and now reach out and ask for you all to pray too. Thanx, Todd J.

My friends have been trying to get me straight now for a while, they have also stated that when I am ready I will do it, They can only help by showing me the way. They did that and I turned my back on them. I hid from them sneeking around. Now I hope that I am ready I pray that I am ready. My life is falling apart I need to get it together before I loose everything. Yes my house has been filled with party music and my children have taken over. All anyone can do is to shine a light and hope and pray the the user will find the way. I feel that you must be shining bright. Don't give up Bunny |

Todd, I am sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is. I have a family full of addicts still in active addiction. I so bad want to sit them all done and stuff recovery down their throats. But you are right we can only carry the message! ((((((TODD))))))) |

Peace Todd, I know the feeling.... I'm praying for your brother. The hope: I was the first one in my family to get clean. I remember my frustration, anger, pain, disapointment when my family members wouldn't see how much they needed to be in this process. I had to let go and stay clean. I was told that I had to be their living, breathing Basic Text....Today, we (my brother and my cousins ) are all clean. My brother has ten years, my cousin has 14 years, and his brother has a year...God's time, not mine.. Love ya man

Hi Todd: I know how emotional this must be for you. Family is always a little harder to deal with than most. We are here in my little community trying to save the life of one of our members who relapsed last week and OD'ed on pills. I will gladly add you, your brother and others around you to my prayers for freedom and peace. cj |

Todd i will keep you and your brother in my prayers. It is so hard when we want them to recover more than they want it. Just keep setting the example.
