update on mom

meant to post this here yesterday .. but between trying to get stuff done and rearrange the house so she has a walker path and getting a hospital bed into the living room .. well . I get a little distracted.

I'm missing a couple days of work here so I could keep an eye on her.

she came home Wed. and spent most of wed afternoon recuping. by thursday noon, she was ramming around the 1st floor with the walker pretty good. At this rate she'll be out in the car next week. Her apetite's back, and she seems to be pretty well on the beam. Allready working to stretch her pain meds to 6 hr intervals as needed instead of the 4 hr interval on the script.

We have a visiting nurse to come in 3 times a week to check her medical progress, and meals are going to be the biggest challenge at the moment.

As always it will all work out in the Big Bosses time.

Gooch,

It's good to hear that you mom is doing well. She's lucky to have a son like you.

I'm glad she's on the mend. I hope this surgery helps with the pain she was experiencing.
Does she have one of those walker with the wheel on the front? Those things are cool, if walkers can be cool.
Hugs to you Gooch, it's hard to be the caretaker sometimes.

yep ... told her yesterday if she doesn't slow it down a little I'm gonna have to put heavier grease in the wheel bearings. lol ... Except for needing the walker to get around with, and being limited to the first floor, she's pretty much back to her loveable, nitpicky, ranting and raving self.
