When I was a young child growing up, a 'post' was something we put in the ground to build a fence. A 'thread' was what Granny used to put a patch on my jeans and a 'sticky' was what we got from gathering sap to make maple syrup. And for sure, a proper 'reply' was always "Yes Ma'am" or "Yes Sir". Oh..... The good ol' days! It has only been a week since I became a member of SR and posted my very first message on line. But, I'm Lovin' It! I never knew there was another outlet for my recovery that would allow me to feel more connected to other recovering addicts outside of my own little recovery circle. I thought a forum/chat group might be a little shallow and impersonal. How wrong I was!! I find myself becoming comfortable and at ease with this site and I consider this to be my Home Group Away From My Home Group! I feel affection, compassion and gratitude towards all I have met here and I want you to know that each one of you is helping me through a very troubled time in my life. Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. cj |

I am also very grateful I stumbled onto this site a couple weeks ago. I am glad I have the opportunity to carry the message of recovery around the world!! I also look forward to getting to know some of the people on this site better and allowing others on here to get to know me and be part of my recovery. Thats the hardest part for me so far, I love trying to help others so much on this site, I haven't taken time to talk about ME, and allow you to help me out. Its OK, I plan on sticking around here for awhile, also have a very strong support network of folks who REALLY know me, not as "servicejunkie". Thanks again everyone for being here.
