This is Sandy .. a rescued 2 year old. We got her just about a month ago and she was terrified of men. I was a little frustrated at first because she just didn't seem to have any enthusiasm for having anything to do with me. Patience has paid off. We were just out in the back yard a few minutes ago playing fetch with a tennis ball, chasing walnuts around, and wrestling over a rope chew toy. In fact when i took this break to post this pic, she snuck into the bedroom, crept around the bed, and stuck her nose up under my hand while I'm working on the laptop as if to say, "C'mon dad lets go play some more ! Get off that computer!" lol |

Great looking girl, I have a Jack Russell, her name's Maggie and she's as big of a kid as Sandy sounds.

I love her! She's beautiful! I love dogs and cats. I had 2 cats but one ran away last week because the window in my appartment was broken and could be opened by a cat! I also have a dog that lives with my ex-inlaws because the landlord won't allow her. She's a beatuful dog, a dobbie/rotweiler mix named Percy. She is 12 years old but in good shape for her age, thanks to all the mountain climbing I did with her before I hurt my back. You deserve such an precious gift and she deserves you too! Good luck! Jaz

She's gorgeous. You are lucky to have each other. We just got a puppy last week. He is a 7 week old beagle pup. We named him "Bodacious Day" or "Bo" for short. It took some time for the cat "Romeo" to warm up to him, but today we found the 2 of them sleeping together in the cat's basket. Being able to accept the unconditional love that animals have to offer is truly a gift.

Come on Gooch you should know better... a girl is a girl. They always play hard to get...even if they are on four feet *LOL* Touch the mouse and the nose pushes the hand away... Yup mine does the same. Wait till the winter comes and she wants to get under the blanket and sleep at your feet. hmmm even with foot powder why would anyone want to sleep near feet? *LOL* They say a dog has a good sense of smell. Can't prove it by my pup *LOL*

and at some times it can be a gift you would rather return *LOL* Feed the cat and she brings home a dead mouse as reward/repayment for the care she gets. Still again though... when at a low point where you think no one understands how you feel or why you feel like you do... a pup always seems to know and will come over to snuggle to cheer you up.
