| Made it to Day 3!
Wooohoooo, three days sober! Well, I guess that's not exactly newsworthy but it is a hell of an accomplishment for this girlie. I even got a full nights sleep last night with no problems, I wasn't even expecting that! I've decided to start looking around for another job today. Bartending is just too much temptation for me right now. But I guess I'll leave 3 days of sobriety off of the resume...lol. Hope everyone has a good day.

Hey thats great, congratulations. Changing jobs also is wise and shows your seriousness in your recovery. You will be surprised at how much you can get accomplished clean and sober. All the best in your job search!

Awesome!! Congrats. on the three days. I used pretty much every single day the last 8-10 years of active addiction, so three days clean is definately an accomplishment. The willingness you have to make some changes in your life will get you a long way in recovery. If you havn't been to a face to face NA meeting yet, consider checking out www.na.org to find some meetings in your area to spend your free time productively and start building the foundation of your new life.

Thanks everyone! I already checked out the NA site a few days ago and will be able to attend my first meeting tomorrow, servicejunkie. I'm actually nervous as heck, and my bf has decided he doesn't want to go to meetings so I'll be flying solo. But I figure it definitly can't hurt things any...and it would be nice to meet other people that are actively trying to stay sober. My friends all think I've lost my mind for going to NA, so I may be in the market for a few new friendships as well! I really hope you can get past this, Cherokee. 10 days is such a long time to get too, and trust me those first 48 hours sober are not a lot of fun. Do you have a sponser you can call? I'm new so I don't know if I can help much, but you're welcome to im me if you'd like. And I have met some really helpful people here that have a lot more than 3 days under their belt, I'm sure they'd be willing to chat with you. I wish I had more to offer, but I hope you get past this!
