I'm not qualified to guess at what might happen, but if you have 8 pills left your not at crisis yet. Does your doctor know you are quitting? Perhaps he can help you with a home detox plan. I have posted some links for health and human services that may be able to help you through detox. http://www.nahss.org http://health.state.ar.us/ |

They may be able to give you another medication at the ER to help with the withdrawls. It's hard to want to just stop and be past it all, but have physical symptoms that are temporarily relieved when you take what you are trying to stop taking. (did that make any sense?) Why don't you want to be admitted to detox in a safe environment? |

I was thinking those links might help you connect to state agencies who could advise you on detoxes that might be more acommodating. Although there may be something near Little Rock. you may have to look a little further geographically. We need to be willing to go to any lengths for our recovery. |

Sorry I couldn"t stay awake last night to reply.. I'm pretty sure that under the individuals with disabilities act, an interpretor who is confidentially bound can be made available. Mango, we are recovering addicts here who can offer support and insight. We are not qualified to guess at what meds might be given or make any medical recommendations. Again .. willingness to go to any lengths for our recovery is one of the greatest tools against addiction. |

Mango Tango, I am sure you are scared and I encourage you to go to an ER. They WILL provide you with an interpreter who is bound by privacy laws and will only talk to who you allow. You need more help than you can handle alone. Fear is almost as destructive as the act of using the pills. It is great you are taking stpes to stop and recognize that you have a problem. But, you must take more steps to get on the road to recovery. Do you have any family or friends that can help you? If not, once you are in the ER, ask to see a Social Worker, ( also bound by the privacy acts) and they will be of great assistance to you. Good luck and my prayers are with you! :8a:
