Hi Terry, and welcome. I'm recovering addict and my daughter (26) is also struggling with her addiction right now, and I know it's not easy to see them go through what we went through. We have a wonderful Nar-Anon forum on this site with many parents who have addicted kids who post on a regular basis, so please come on over and introduce yourself - you'll find a warm welcome and loads of support there. Welcome again!

Welcome Terry.. Its one thing to deal with our own addiction and something else entirely to deal with someone close to us. The Nar anon board is filled with wonderful members who share their E,S, & H and sometimes some venting about dealing with their Addicts. You and your daughter are in my prayers as well. |

Welcome and plenty of prayers your way and hers! Try and keep your recovery yours and maybe look for a sponsor who's dealt with sibling addiction (even alcohol if need be - the codependcy is the same). As you grow, so will those around you who choose to. good luck and welcome again!

welcome to SR. You will find a lot of love and support here. You are not alone. I just had to deal with my 19 year old daughter being dropped off by her friends because she was VERY drunk and wouldn't stop crying and wanted to come to her mom's house. It is difficult to watch our kids go through what we know is he**.
