Hi, soon celebrating 30 days clean

. Just moved to FL from Jersey and feeling, lonely, depressed, etc. This is my longest attempt and Im determined to try not to look back despite my bordom, thats why i have joined today.

Hey Laurie- good luck with the move and furthering your sobriety. I just moved from PA to NJ. Though it is just over the river, it's been a huge triumph for me. Personally, I'm not finding the NJ meetings quite friendly, but it may be me. So...you're not missing anything over here. lol I've been in NJ since Feb and finally found a friend my age! So, hang in there and it will work out as your HP has planned. And remember, we have friends all over the world - we just haven't met them yet!
BTW, my sponsors friend just moved to FL......huummm....

Thank you Jarhead and Nemesis, sorry I didnt get ur messages sooner. I started a new job and its been 8 months since Ive worked so, Ive been beat. It was nice of you all to take the extra time out to look up the meetings. Not used to people going out of there way to do something for me, unless they had a motive (ha ha) "drugs". It really means alot.

Jennie, Know what u mean about Jersey, Most dont practice southern hospitality to frequently, at least from my experience (ha). But there is always someone, somewhere who will make the difference. Glad u made at least one good friend. Where did ur sponsors friend move in Fl?

Laurie - LOL I just found out last night that one friend has another addiction - weed and she is still doing it. My guard totally went up! Sucks. Anyway, I'm not sure where my sponsors friend moved to. I know that she is the god mother of her daughter though. MAybe one day this weekend you can hit one of those meetings to start building a network. Good luck with it and I hope they are friendlier out there! lol
