| What about vacation
I am leaving on vacation to our remote cabin in the woods in Wisconsin and usually attend meetings in Milwaukee area. Now that I have been attending so many meetings I am wondering what is going to happen to me when I am gone so long. I'm taking a short 4 dayer starting thursday and then on the whole first week of August, starting July 31st, I'll be gone for 10 days. Do I just take a lot of reading material along? Work the steps in the step working guide? Or do I just relax and enjoy myself. I looked up meeting up there but the road our cabin is on is not even on mapquest. I'm scared.

Just keep in mind, You can take a brake from meetings but not from you program. You have to do what works for you. If your sponsor knows where you are, and you do what works, its all good!!!

Ssindi... Was there a phone # with the meeting listing? Try to get a hold of someone about the meeting, a local will be able to tell you how to get there, or may even offer to pick you up. That would be nice for you to go to a meeting there. That is one of the things I love about AA/NA You can find a meeting just about anywhere in the country. Have a nice time and enjoy yourself and celebrate your sobriety...  |

ssindi, I just came back from a short camping trip (3 days). I brought my basic text with me and I just stayed focused on the fact that I am still an addict. I did alot of relaxing, but I also said my prayers. Kel-kel had a good idea about calling someone. It would be cool to go to a meeting in a different area. Just pray about it. Have you guys heard of the Recovery Bible, I just ordered it and I think I'll take it along with me. I don't think my husband will be crazy about me trapsing off to meetings without him because that is what the vacation is all about him and I.
