Dose anyone have an oppion on a long distance sponsor.

My sponsor of the last 4 years has decided that she can not longer sponsor me. I am at a lost and I would love my old sponsor to sponsor me but she is now living on the east coast and I love and the west.

Any oppions are welcome. Thanks

When I say my old sponsor I mean the one previouse to the one that just left me. I know why she left and I respect the fact that she was honest with me.

Oops, my bad...I kinda' figured it out after I posted the message. My apologies to you Jennifer. All I can say is that, like I.P. #11, communication is the key to this relationship. Is your old sponsor going to be available to you whenever you need her? I don't have any sponsees who live more than 2 hours away. So my experience is limited. Sorry. I am sure that your HP will guide you in the right direction...

Jennifer, my sponsor just moved to Costa Rica. This is a big change for me. I talked to my sponsor everyday and met with every monday to go over step work for 11 months. I now communicate with him via email every other day and talk once a week. It's working "today" but I've turned it over to my higher power for "tomorrow". I have faith that if I have to get another sponsor, one will appear. Only you and your higher power will know if a long distance sponsorship works for you. Good Luck!
