It's finally here!! Memorial Day Weekend!! our official kick off to the camping season. We are just about packed up and ready to go (my husband says we would be ALL ready to go if I would get off the computer,Bah hum bug). We are headed to the Poconos for an NA campout. I can't wait. I love being in the woods with no influence from the outside world. No phones, no TV's, no computers, no nothing. We go primitive camping so that means NOTHING. No electric, no running water. I am looking forward to spending the weekend with my family and my sponsor and her family as well. And, some of our best friends. Just us, a campfire, and a Basic Text. Does life get any better than this!! See y'all on Sunday (Maybe Monday if I have my way.) Love ya Laurie D.

Watch out for the bears, but enjoy the solitude. Embrace it.

Kewl! I love NA campouts! What ? no computer ? lol The poconos is real pretty got some soberbiker friends that live around there. Hope your taking some warm clothes! Another beuitiful place I have camped in Pa is Worlds End state park, except we camped on some private land bordering the park. I'm grateful today to have frineds that include me in their prosperity!

I can't believe we are still here. My husband's boss wouldn't let them leave early today. He does every other holiday, I wonder what's up with him today. We are pretty much packed, just have to put the rest of the stuff in the jeep when he gets home. my kids may not make it back. If they keep up there attitudes I'm gonna tie them to a tree, smear them with honey and let the bears have them. The first place I camped clean was World's End, God what a beautiful park. Also where I caught my first fish clean. Everyone have a great and Safe Holiday weekend. Let's roll!!!

Euphoria, I was on campsite "B", back to back with site "D". My husband met Randy from your site. On saturday night we had someone from your campout speak at our meeting in trade for someone from ours to speak at your meeting. What are the odds of two seperate area campouts on the same weekend at back to back sites? and even more, what are the odds of 2 people from this forum being at the 2 different campouts? I wish I would have met you, that would have been cool. I love that park, that's where me and my husband got married. It was at an NA campout 7 years ago. Did you hear someone yelling "I need a hug" at 4:00AM? That was from site "c", one of ours, that caused some controversy!! Laurie D
