| didn't think I was comming back this time
heck ... I dont even know where to start ... I just know that each time I stay out there it just keeps getting harder to surrender... I had a few years clean about six years ago, and thought I could control it... a drink here a drink there... well much to my dismay, that didnt work. I just have to face the facts and realize that I am powerless over my addiction and will have to take the corrective measures to stay clean. Great website. I look forward to meeting you all. Matt |

Welcome Matt. SR is a great place for support and friendship, I am glad you found us!!! We are all here doing the same thing you are, trying to stay sober one day at a time. I am glad you are here.

Welcome Matt! SR is a great place for support. I have found, thru hard won experience, that it only gets worse. you start off where you left off after you relapse, then progress in your illness. And i hear that at every meeting i go to........ it's something i need to hear. Quote:
Ann, addict and alkie here.

I guess the hardest thing that I am doing now is waiting to go to a meeting tonight. The only one that is remotely close to me is an AA meeting, but it is a meeting. Tick, Tock, waiting for the rehab place that I called this morning to call me back, the one thing that I don't have right now is much patience at all. Running a little thin at the moment. I know that in time it will get better, but I know how I am ... I want what I want when I want it.
