Powerful cravings

I've been having some very powerful cravings lately. I'm on methadone, haven't used for over 6 months, close to 12, but I am really itching for a hit.

I have a job, go to school, things are definitely looking up, as long as I stay clean.

I slipped and took a vicodin the other day mixed with some booz, of course.

Don't want to wallow on this so I just hope to move forward from it.

I wish I could connect with people who share the same problem as me. Only problem is, when I go to meetings, the people there are nothing like me. Anyone else have this problem?

I really want to make some friends and connect with ex addicts in my area so I can have some people to talk to!

Why can't they be just people? Do you require all your friends to have labels?
Are you that unique or just like all us other addicts? Just asking.
