|  Day By Day - June 7th "Awakening Spiritually" Awakening Spiritually Most of us have had spiritual experiences and spiritual awakenings as a result of this program. Some have had visions while others have heard voices. Some people had these when they first arrived, others some years after they arrived. But we need not hear a voice booming from the heavens saying, "You are a damn junkie-straighten up!" before we come to realize our powerlessness. The spiritual experience most of us have is a quiet realization that God has given us our lives. What greater, more wonderful experience can we ask for? Have I had a spiritual awakening? Lord, thank You for the gift of my life.  I will show how spiritually alive I am today by: God help me to stay clean and sober today! (c) Hazelden Foundation
