Old fart - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I was really surprised to be reading through the sponsorship thread and to come across a familiar nickname, because I'm still fairly new at this forum.

I met Old fart (Richard) in the middle of the night a little over five months ago, and had the pleasure of having him be the first person to start explaining what the program is and how it works.

Maybe there are some people here who remember him anyway, it looks like he stopped posting here a few years ago.

Richard passed away at the end of March (March 22nd), shortly after celebrating twenty-five years clean.

He is very loved, and missed, by addicts all over the world whose lives he touched.

Thanks for letting us know about Richard. It sounds like he touched a lot of people's lives in a good way.

Yeah... I remember Old Fart from another recovery website a few years back. He was a good dude. I'm sorry to hear that he passed.
