Hey, RX-7. You've made an important step today of reaching out. Weed is absolutely an addicting drug and many, many, many people come here with that same DOC (drug of choice).

You know what? Drs. have heard everything under the sun so telling her or him about your addiction really won't phase them and it will help you a lot. Also, NA is free and available to anyone. Just Google NA and your city (if you don't see NA, call the AA Hotline and ask the person there to help you find the NA telephone #). You can call it any time day or night and someone will talk with you and give you information. Heck - they might even drive you to a meeting. And, keep reading and posting here on SR. We are open 24/7!

There is a way out of the pain of addiction. It's worked for thousands and millions of people, it will work for you, too, if you give it a good, honest try.

Weed was my drug of choice too. For many years I told myself I wasn't a drug addict because I was shooting heroin or whatever. But marijuana can get a powerful grip on your life and your mind. NA has helped me to stop doings and given me a great life. I hope you give NA a try.

in NA we focus on recovery from addiction not on the drug of choice. Try going to a meeting, read some of our literature. Look for the similarities and not the differences. Many ppl such as yourself have found a home in NA. I truly hope you find the answers you need.

Put your FEAR on the shelf! You are not alone when it comes to smoking pot. So many people have smoked pot at one point in their lives and have been able to stop and lead productive lives.

Keep asking question, keep looking for solutions and you'll be able to function without that "state of mind" you are so used too.
