Sorry to say this but quitting is easy if you cannot get it. My son is getting out next nov. He says he does not want to do the clubing thing when he gets out. But time will tell. He grew up watching my drunk but. And he knows I have not touched it for seven years. But I know he has to decide this for himself. I Never listened to anyone that wanted me to stop. For me the hardest part was saying I had no control. I hated to say that I could not do something. I think that is why some of us take so long to admit we have a problem. Pride

Right or wrong, in your shoes, I might ask him why, if he thinks that alcohol isn't/won't be an issue for him, is it so important? Peace & Love, Sugah

still blaming others, still wants to be able to party. Yea red flags all over the place. You say hes in a program so I'm sure hes heard that switch drugs (crack to alcohol) doesn't work. Sounds like he still thinks he has the answers. As sugha says if drinking ain't a big deal then it shouldn't be a big deal to not do it, Why take the chance? Hope this all works out for you. remember you need to take care of you. if hes not ready to change there is nothing you can do about that. Glade you are asking questions. Peace
