9 years clean today!!

Wow...what a ride it's been.

I want to thank the members here at SR for allowing me to share my experience, strength and hope AND for sharing theirs with me. I want to thank the fellowship of NA for showing me how to live. I want to thank the program of NA for the freedom I have today. And most of all....I want to thank my HP for love, care, grace and mercy.

Recovery is possible.

Sure can, Rez! I remember it like it was yesterday. Don't know how true it is, but they say those who can't recall their last use has another use in them. I try not to ever forget.

Thanks everyone!!

I don't take all the credit because my anniversary signifies a true team effort. What I could never do alone, we can all do together.

How do we do it? One day at a time....

I still remember the last time I used. I don't remember the using so much as laying in bed, all burned out again, after I used, and thinking that it really wasn't any fun anymore and that I've really don't need to do this anymore. It is important for me to remember that I did not have a lot of fun that last time. I was doing it just to do it, just for the hell of it.

Congratulations Gary,

Thank you for your Experience, Strength and Hope.

I hope you don’t mind but I would like to share this.

We were searching for answer when we reached out and found Narcotics Anonymous. We came to our first N.A. meeting in defeat and didn’t know what to expect. After sitting in a meeting, or several meetings, we begin to feel that people cared and were willing to help. Although our minds told us we would never make it, the people in the fellowship gave us hope by insisting we could recover. We found that no matter what our past thoughts or action were, others had felt and done the same. Surrounded by fellow addicts, we realized that we were not alone. Recovery is what happens in our meetings; each of our lives is at stake. We found that by putting recovery first, the Program works.

12 and 12
Thanks again

A grateful recovery addict,
Ivan

Thanks Moontime!!

I'm a bit puzzled by your comment...are we in the same so-called "sponsorship bloodline"??

Oh yeah...I stopped being a newcomer at 3 years clean (LOL!!) ...or maybe even before that!!
