| To Gary and Barto
I just wanted to say I loved the NA/AA thread that you two so heartily participated in a couple weeks back. I have found a solution (except that higher power part; still working on that) I've found a meeting that is technically an AA meeting, but it is about 50/50 alcohol and addicts. I feel very comfortable there. It is a very diverse group of people as far as ages and experiences go, people bring their dogs; it just feels like home. I've gotten three phone numbers from very strong, sober women and we're talking about going on a retreat in the fall. All is good. I just especially wanted to thank you two for that lively and thought provoking debate; you made me think. P.S. Barto, it's off to the beach today. Sunny and 80 degrees, lol |

I'm so glad you found a meeting that you feel at home in. Hopefully you'll make it your "home group" and gradually get more involved. Best wishes and keep coming back!!

Garry, funny you should mention that. Already done. I made it my home group. My first name is Dorothy and I call it my Kansas, lol. Gosh, I just got kind of emotional thinkingof all the kindness I've experienced here on the board and there at the meetings. Thanks all. |
