Hyde Park...Culinary Institute of America...I have no sense of the geography of NY, how far is that from Long Island?

Hyde Park would be aboout 100 miles north of where I live. We could each drive 50 miles and meet up at a meeting in the middle eh?? send me an email when you get settled. Richie Last edited by historyteach; 01-18-2007 at 01:50 AM. Reason: email removal |

I consider coming here and listening and offering, "my on-line" meeting. I walk 15 minutes to catch a bus, ride another 20 to a meeting and back 3 times a week. I get more off this site than I get out of most of my meetings. Though it's good to get out, meet, and look people in the eye.

Sorry, a couple of more points I forgot. I had just finished reading the "group booklet" off the NA.org site, before I responded previously, and I didn't see anything that mentioned on-line meetings. Being new to NA, 4 months, I needed to study up on the "rules and procedures to how meetings operate, as I have seen various ways meetings have been conducted and sometimes "heated discussions" here on whats appropiate or "normal". I seem to feel a different vibe from AA people as to what transpires in their meetings. I'm sure some veterans of NA with service can help us out.
