discolor ? help - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

i've been on hydrocodone for a long time now, close to a year and a half. I"m coming off of them slowly with the help of my doctor and a program i'm sit up on. My nose stays very dry lately tho and i've used over the counter nose sprays and vitamin e oil to help. My doctor has checked my nose for any wholes or serious damages, as i was snorting the pills instead of taking them orally. NO damage was done, but i've noticed a blue color in my nose, left nostril. Is this normal will it go away with time, can i buy something toh elp it go away. I dont go back to my doctor until feb. 18th. any thoughts ?
please and thank you for any info u can give me.

Hi leroy, welcome to SR.

The best suggestion is to speak to your Dr. about this. Only she or he is qualified to give medical advice. You say that you don't want to go back until the 18th, but how about making a phone call? A lot of Drs. will take a call like this and give advice over the phone or let you know if you need to come in.

How is the taper coming? What else are you doing for your program of recovery? I know that I was able to quit many times, but I could only STAY stopped by working an honest program of recovery.
