God Grant ME

Those words today mean a lot to me in a lot of different ways.

God Grant me the serenity to accept the things that I can not change

This has to do with most of the troubles that I have made with individuals through out my life. I have harmed so many people including myself. But today I know that I am not the same person that I have been in the past. This helps me to know that there are somethings that I can not change

The courage to change the things that I can

This has helped me to realize that there are somethings in my life that I do have the courage to change. I can repay my dept to society, to bill collectors, to a lot of different people. I know that this is part of the prayer that isn't always easy yet when we put our best efforts into it, it truly works.

The wisdom to know the difference

This is probably one of the hardest parts that I know. I think for me anyway that this is when I use sponsorship, friendships, etc to run things by knowing that my best thinking got me to where I am today. So for me this is huge to help me to remember that I don't have to know all of the answers, nor would I want to know. I am grateful today that I have a program and that I try to follow it to the best of my ability.
