To clarify a statement. - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

In T2S's thread about an addict losing his life, I made a statement.
"God gets those who don't get this."

I was later mis-quoted by another member. Who thought I said 'God kills those who don't get this.'

Go back and read it again please. I didn't it appropriate to correct the statement on that thread.

What I mean by "GOD GETS THOSE THAT DON'T GET THIS".
Some addicts for whatever reason chose to go out and test the waters again. The disease took their lives. Now, they get the comfort of God for eternity.

They didn't get recovery, now God has them.

Yup, I understand Namommy. Thanks for the clarification. It's much harder to communicate on a message board than in person. I got you the first time, but it's helpful to understand more where you are coming from. And I totally agree.

As I believe - No one HAS to die of this disease, but some do to show us that this disease kills!

Adding that god gets the ones who don't get it gives me comfort.

The "mis-quote" wasn't intended towards your statement. I understood what you were saying, I put what I believe to the post I wrote, sorry for the misunderstanding.
