Am I crazy or is it him? - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I just recently moved out of my fiances house last week. I found out he has been looking at personal sites on the internet the whole time we have been together. He hasn't apologized or anything, instead has turned it around on me. He is very abusive verbally and I have caught him in many lies. I believe he is probably hiding a lot more stuff from me. His ex-girlfriend warned me about some of the stuff I now know to be true, but he made it out to be that she was a drug using nut case. I was truly in love with this man and thought we would have a future together. He is very charming and knows the right things to say. He is financially a wreck and has terrible credit. He had to sell his house and rent it back at an astronomical interest rate to pay for his 4th DUI as he was sentenced to home arrest, now he is in the midst of losing it.

All this aside I am still very, very much in love with him. I have been looking stuff up on line regarding mental disorders and came across the traits of a sociopath and wondering if that might be his problem? He seems to match a lot of the traits. I'm just going nuts and need someone to talk to regarding this, I'm afraid I will go back to him and he will end up ruining me for life.

Welcome to Sober Recovery. I am not a very smart guy but I would suggest you post this thread under Ask The Experts, Mark Sichel.

Good luck, my gut feeling is you might be in a dangerous situation.
