Good 'ol Lexapro!

I there there were a few people on here who asked about it. I'm on my way to bed, but I'll poke around tomorrow and see if I find anything. I know basic info about it. What do you want to know?

Just anything really.....i was put on it several years before i was able to make myself stay on meds so i stopped taking it after 3 or 4 weeks because it was making me really fatigued (and because i hated taking pills).

I told my Pdoc this yesterday, but she still put me on it instead of Zoloft like i asked. She said if i take the Lexapro at night then i shouldn't be bothered by fatigue in the day.

I'm just already fatigued enough as it is to have my meds start adding to that!

And i was wondering if anyone had had success with it. (i'm also on Welbutrin and Lithium)

Thanks Peda

Hey Jenna, I'm on Lexapro and I had trouble with fatigue for about 2 weeks and then it went away. I haven't had any problems with it and it seem to work for my depression pretty good.

i've decided i'm not going to bother with this med right now....i just can't afford to be any more fatigued than i already am (even if only for 2-4 weeks).

Thanks for the input.
i'm just gunna tell my psychiatrist she needs to listen to me instead of being such a arrogant @#$%&......and i say that in the most loving way of course....LOL

I was recently put on Lexapro for major depression. It worked about as well as asprin. My depression got dangerously worse. Then, my Doc added Wellbutrin with it. She said they work better together, esp with anxiety. Oh My God! My world changed in 1.5-2wks total. You're already on Wellbutrin, which is supposed to give you "energy" anyway. Maybe the Lexapro fatigue wont bother you this time. I just know that the combination was a life saver for me. Good Luck. Its hard work being a sufferer of Major Depression/bipolar. I do understand.
